squarespace custom website designer kimmy altman

I get it. You did not start your business to wrestle with websites.

You started it to serve your clients, build something meaningful, and create a life on your own terms. I am here to make sure your online presence reflects the business you have actually built, not the one you threw together at midnight between client calls.

The quick version

I am Kimmy. I design Squarespace websites and provide virtual assisting for coaches, therapists, and service-based business owners. I specialize in working with women who are incredible at what they do but whose online presence is not keeping up with the quality of their work.

Whether you need a fully custom website, a template customized with your branding, or someone to take the daily operational chaos off your plate, I am the person who steps in, gets it done, and makes it feel easy.

I am also a mom to two toddlers, a wife to a Navy veteran, a former cosmetologist of 14 years, and someone who genuinely believes that the scariest moments in life usually turn out to be the best ones.

But if you want the full story...

I never planned to become a website designer. Honestly, if you had told me a few years ago that I would be running my own business, designing websites, and helping other women bring their dreams to life online, I would not have believed you. But life has a funny way of nudging you toward exactly where you are supposed to be.

It started with a layoff.

I was working a remote job with set hours. It paid the bills. It was stable. But if I am being honest, my brain was starving. I craved creativity, and the work just did not have any.

So while I was still there, I quietly started looking for an out. That is when I found virtual assisting. It immediately caught my attention. But I had not made the jump yet.

Then the decision was made for me. My company laid off a large chunk of their staff. Including me.

And I was terrified.

I had two toddlers at home. My husband and I had built our life around two incomes. I did not have a backup plan fully in place.

But I had that seed already planted. I knew virtual assisting was out there, and now I had every reason to go all in. So I did.

I started picking up clients, learning new systems, and I realized pretty quickly that I loved working with small business owners. There was something about being in the trenches with someone who built something from scratch that just lit me up.

Then one of my clients asked me a question that changed everything:

"Do you know how to design a website?"

I told her the truth: I could try, but I was a beginner. She was okay with that. And that project became the spark.

So I jumped all in. I invested in real education on how to build websites that convert visitors into paying clients. Not just surface-level stuff, but the backend knowledge that makes a site actually work for a business.

That layoff? The one that scared me half to death?

I can call it a blessing now. Not because it was easy, but because it pushed me toward something I never would have found if everything had stayed comfortable.

And if you are reading this because you are in your own version of that scary, uncertain moment, just know that sometimes the thing that feels like it is falling apart is actually making room for something better.

Ready to stop doing it all yourself?

Whether you need a website or someone to handle the backend, let's talk.

A few things about me outside of work

  • Learning! I typically take at least 1 course a month on subjects that interest me.

Some examples of courses I’ve taken lately are: website design courses, SEO, color theory with designing, photography, business courses, design courses, Pinterest marketing, and email marketing (just to name a few lol).

I am a FIRM believer that you will never know everything and you must always better yourself with education.

    • Forrest Gump

    • Don’t Tell Mom The Babysitter is Dead (I’m right on top of that Rose!),

    • Cinderella.

  • A full time cosmetologist for 14 years! I loved being behind the chair but wanted to have a remote job to spend all of my time with my kiddos.

I do most of my work when they are sleeping. :)
